I found a recipe the other day to make corn fritters. The fritters were ok, but the dipping sauce was superb.
3/4 cup rice vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons red chili pepper flakes
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 large clove garlic, minced
Just mix all the ingredients in a small sauce pan. Put on the medium heat until all of the sugar dissolves, then boil for 7-9 minutes until syrupy. Great for dipping fries!
